Tucked behind lush green pine trees in Northern Indiana you’ll find IrishMudd LLC a small picturesque farm owned by Steve and Ethel Baker as well as their 3 boys. As you pull in to your left you see KuneKune pigs roam freely in lush green pastures, their happy grunts echoing through the air. Around the curve of the driveway you spot several fluffy laying hens that greet you as you approach the house. As you explore further at the back of the farm, you come across a dazzling array of vibrant peacocks displaying their magnificent feathers, adding a touch of elegance and beauty to the farm. IrishMudd LLC w a s established in 2014 with the first animals on the farm being rare breed chickens, heritage breed turkeys, and exotic pheasants. As the farm evolved we got away from alot of the avian species and KuneKunes were introduced in 2017. Quickly they became the main focus as well as peafowl (peacocks). The rest as they say is history. Over the last couple of years we moved to offering retail cuts of our KuneKunes as well as hand crafted purified pig tallow products. We are excited about what our farm has to offer and the many great people who we get the privilege of serving!

KuneKune pigs are a rare heritage breed known for their excellent meat quality. These small, hairy pigs are known for their ability to thrive on pasture-based diets, making them a sustainable choice. This unique breed thrives on our farm. They get a ration of soy-free custom fermented whole grains, that provides them with optimal nutrition and ensures their well-being. The farm practices rotational grazing, allowing the pigs to thrive on a nutritious pasture-based diet. Their rotational grazing habits make them excellent foragers, as they efficiently utilize a variety of vegetation while minimizing soil erosion. They graze on different sections of the land, benefitting not only the animals’ well-being but also enhances the meat’s flavor and tenderness and creates biodiversity.

Peacocks, with their majestic appearance and vibrant plumage, are truly a sight to behold. These magnificent birds are native to South Asia but have gained popularity worldwide for their stunning beauty.The male peacock, known as a peafowl, is famous for its elaborate and iridescent tail feathers, which fan out in a spectacular display during courtship rituals. The iridescent colors of the peacock feathers are truly remarkable. It is fascinating how these feathers create a mesmerizing optical illusion as the peacock moves, capturing the attention of all who witness this breathtaking sight. Beyond their eye-catching appearance, peacocks are also known for their distinct high- pitched calls, which can be heard echoing through the tropical forests they inhabit. These calls serve as a means of communication, signaling their presence and asserting their territory. With their striking beauty and unique behaviors, peacocks continue to capture the fascination of both nature enthusiasts and casual observers alike.
